Social media integrated into gift catalogue

Friday, January 30th, 2009

At pressies4princesses, we’re playing catch-up on social media. We thought it about time pressies4princesses was dragged into the “Web 2.0″ world. As a start, we’ve added Facebook, MySpace, Stumbleupon, Delicious and TwitThis buttons to the store.

These buttons make posting our gifts to MySpace or Facebook easy. Likewise, the addition of the Stumbleupon “Stumble this” button.

For visitors with bookmarks stored on Delicious, adding one of our products comes at a click. Similarly, Twittering (or is that tweeting?) about is is now all too easy courtesy of “TwitThis”.

Click this button on the page to access the menu of individual services/ actions available

The magic 'Share It' /Social Media button

Here’s an example product details page from the store, which has the button on it: Example product page – check the button under the main image

We think this is a positive step for affiliates for three reasons:

1) It encourages bookmark and return behaviour (within the cookie period)

2) It makes pressies4princesses more sticky which encourages your visitors to return

3) being able to share/discuss encourages conversion

We anticipate this being the start of bigger things on the web 2.0 front.

Why promote pressies4princesses this Christmas?

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Pressies4princess is the “gifts for women” specialist. Our gifts are chosen by women for women. Perhaps that’s why 50% of our buyers are women and returns are so minimal.

Affiliates can access a broader product range and wider audience by promoting us alongside the bigger players. You won’t find handbags and handmade jewellery at many of the other gift specialists!

Seeking high returns? Our male shoppers often buy for that special someone, so they typically spend more. Individual sale commissions over £40 have already been paid this season! Affiliates should target our exclusive handmade jewellery ranges to grab these.

For volume target our stocking fillers. There are plenty in store – from novelties to chocolates to teddies and tea and sympathy. Our range is a refreshing change from all those gadgets!

Achieve higher volumes by targeting female buyers this Christmas. Fact is, women buy for more friends and relations than men. Female friendly and virtually gadget-free, pressies4princesses attracts and converts women strongly.

Benefit from a customer incentive every single day until Christmas. Starting November, we are running a different incentive daily – from free delivery, free gifts, multi-buys, product deals, tiered discounts, affiliate exclusives to best seller reductions, money-back coupons and more. Don’t miss out – start promoting pressies4princesses today!

Gift Sales Soar – Despite “The Credit Crunch”

Monday, July 14th, 2008

It seems gifts are one thing consumers haven’t stopped buying. Our “organic” sales are up over 60% since the start of our new financial year on May 1. That’s excluding sales generated by affiliates.

It appears people just can’t put off buying gifts. I guess that’s quite logical. Would you accidentally-on-purpose ‘forget’ someone’s birthday just because money was tight? Would you short change your other half on your anniversary? Of course you wouldn’t, would you?!

Perhaps with petrol and diesel the price they are people are shopping online even more frequently? Last time I filled the car up it cost £107. Lately, I haven’t got out much!

Add in the cost of parking, traffic jams and the torrential downpours that appear without warning and it’s easy to see why many people prefer to get the job done sitting comfortably in front of a pc.

Of course, there’s more than convenience to tempt gift shoppers at pressies4princesses. For a start, we pride ourselves on finding original gifts shoppers won’t find on the High Street. Then there’s our On Specific Day Delivery, which enables you to send a surprise on the big day itself or just have you gifts delivered when you’re actually in! Our gift wrapping’s pretty damned good, too.

So, if your other programmes are flat, why not give pressies4princesses a try? With 15% standard commission for August and September the rewards are high. Our sales are holding up well against the High Street trend. Plus, we’ll be throwing in some cash sales bonuses for high performing affiliates shortly. And, we have gift ranges for anniversaries, new babies, mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, granny, birthdays, weddings and more, so there’s something for almost every affiliate.

Still not convinced? Here’s 19 more reasons to promote pressies4princesses.
