At pressies4princesses, we’re playing catch-up on social media. We thought it about time pressies4princesses was dragged into the “Web 2.0″ world. As a start, we’ve added Facebook, MySpace, Stumbleupon, Delicious and TwitThis buttons to the store.

These buttons make posting our gifts to MySpace or Facebook easy. Likewise, the addition of the Stumbleupon “Stumble this” button.

For visitors with bookmarks stored on Delicious, adding one of our products comes at a click. Similarly, Twittering (or is that tweeting?) about is is now all too easy courtesy of “TwitThis”.

Click this button on the page to access the menu of individual services/ actions available

Here’s an example product details page from the store, which has the button on it: Example product page – check the button under the main image

We think this is a positive step for affiliates for three reasons:

1) It encourages bookmark and return behaviour (within the cookie period)

2) It makes pressies4princesses more sticky which encourages your visitors to return

3) being able to share/discuss encourages conversion

We anticipate this being the start of bigger things on the web 2.0 front.
