  • Top “I Love You” Gifts To Promote

    Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

The sun’s out. Spring has definitely sprung. We’re all emerging from hibernation. We’ve shed our many layers and are starting to feel like human beings again. It’s no coincidence that Spring marks the start of many a new romance!

Of course, May also marks the start of wedding season. And, many an engagement too. Weddings, engagements, that extra spring in your step – all this adds up to extra demand for romantic gifts. So, it’s a good time to promote some of our romantic best-sellers:-

    • Since its launch in January, this Spaceform token has been a favourite. Clearly there’s a lot of men folk out there who just aren’t saying “I love you” enough!

    • Clichés about keys to hearts aside, this keyring is an ordinary, everyday object transformed into an important personal memento. Practical and very popular.

    • All this bedside photo frame needs is a passport-sized photo of the love birds being crazy in love!

    • Can there really be a higher love than the love of chocolate? Our customers tell us there is and they buy this bar by the droves to prove it. It seems actions speak louder than words!

    • Just to drive home the message, why not send the card too?! That way when she's scoffed the chocolate, she still has the magnetic memento on the card to stick to her fridge.

    • Tea is a British institution, which means a mug is never far from her mouth. So we thought a mug would be a pretty good place to put an “I love you”. Our customers agree!

    • Like a couple’s love, this Love Bean grows. And, as it grows your message appears on it. That’s too cute for words and makes this gift an irresistible buy.

    • 95% of women will tell you they never receive flowers. That’s strange, because 95% of men would claim to send them?! Or maybe there’s a very lucky 5% of women out there!

    • This little tinned messenger delivers a personal message in his little furry fist. What a lovely surprise in the morning post. So cute, he’s an outright best-seller.

    • Heart-shaped jewellery is incredibly popular. While handmade products have grown massively in popularity over recent years. This UK handmade heart necklace ticks both boxes.

    • What girl doesn't like a drink?

    • Looking up at the stars isn’t just for loved-up young things to do in American teen movies. Thanks to these star naming gifts, there’s plenty of it going on in suburban Britain too.

    • Even the most ineloquent bloke can wax lyrical about his lover with the help of our personalised poems. Tissues at the ready please!

    • Likewise, even if a customer can’t sing a note or strum a chord, they can still own a song 100% written for her. From anniversaries, to marriage proposals or landmark birthdays, gifts don’t get much more original than this!

More about the pressies4princesses affiliate programme:

Social media integrated into gift catalogue

    Friday, January 30th, 2009

At pressies4princesses, we’re playing catch-up on social media. We thought it about time pressies4princesses was dragged into the “Web 2.0″ world. As a start, we’ve added Facebook, MySpace, Stumbleupon, Delicious and TwitThis buttons to the store.

These buttons make posting our gifts to MySpace or Facebook easy. Likewise, the addition of the Stumbleupon “Stumble this” button.

For visitors with bookmarks stored on Delicious, adding one of our products comes at a click. Similarly, Twittering (or is that tweeting?) about is is now all too easy courtesy of “TwitThis”.

Click this button on the page to access the menu of individual services/ actions available

The magic 'Share It' /Social Media button

Here’s an example product details page from the store, which has the button on it: Example product page – check the button under the main image

We think this is a positive step for affiliates for three reasons:

    1) It encourages bookmark and return behaviour (within the cookie period)

    2) It makes pressies4princesses more sticky which encourages your visitors to return

    3) being able to share/discuss encourages conversion

We anticipate this being the start of bigger things on the web 2.0 front.
